Hello photographers it’s Wildlife photographer Justin Hoffmann here @justinthewildphoto with some ideas to think upon when you’re out taking your potential prize winning photos.

I’ve already seen a some of your entries and they are looking fantastic, keep them coming!

(Tips) About this picture...

I was walking to a public footpath, I spotted this brown hare is taking in the lovely warming sunshine in a farm field. Now I’m positioned low to the ground taking in the scene at a nice low angle.
I like the horizontal layers in the landscape, created by shadow and light between the fields and hedges. I also like how the brown hare is being set off by the shadow of the closest hedge. When I’m looking for the shot, I’m also looking at the foreground and background and how I can use it to my advantage. How does it affect my composition? 😉

So perhaps if you like bear these things in mind, have some fun and see what you can achieve by applying similar methods in your photos! 😀
